Error with driver for new mp3 player
« on: December 25, 2004, 09:59:03 AM »
I tried setting up a driver for my mom's mp3 using the cd that came with it and it came up with an error. My mom downloaded the driver off their website and it came up with the error again. I have e-mailed their tech support but i thought i would post on here too just incase. I figure this is something to do with the new microsoft update because after i updated my computer i started to get the error too. I took a screenshot so you could see. Please help.

Quite likely you don't need drivers for MP3 players under WinXP.  It should automatically detect as an external hard drive.  Try uninstalling all pertaining drivers for the player, then just plug it in.  It should show up in My Computer.

I tried to use it without the driver on the cd and it complained that it had an error finding a driver. i do agree though that it shouldn't need it because mine worked without the disc that came with it
