The Game Awards are touted as being the video game industry's answer to the Oscars and this week the awards were dished out in Los Angeles. The big winners of th night appears to be Nintendo with Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild taking the top prize in addition to Nintendo grabbing a few other of the categories as well.

It had all the hallmarks of a lavish awards show: Live orchestra (check), fervent spiels (check), Hollywood a-listers (check).
