Testing and Final Thoughts

The EnzoTech Ultra-X looks very similar to a Thermaltake Big Typhoon cooler, and while the Big Typhoon performed quite well, it was bested by the Zalman CNPS9500 series.  With that in mind, I didn't expect anything too fabulous out of the Ultra-X, but as you can see in the charts below, I was mistaken.

In every scenario and in every situation, the Ultra-X beats down the Zalman CNPS9500 out-of-the-box.  As stated previously, the thermal compound may have something to do with this, but we used what came with each cooler to represent the average consumers install.  I was very impressed with the noise, performance and overall quality of the Ultra-X cooler.  In many situations, it beat out the CNPS9500 by as much as 5C!

I have long been a Zalman HSF user on my personal computer as well as BCCHardware's test machines.  Zalman makes very good units that offer great performance and low noise.  They have met their match today with the EnzoTech Ultra-X cooler however.  This cooler is large and may have some issues fitting in smaller cases, but in exchange for its bulk it offers good - no, great performance and does it quietly.  If you are looking for a new cooler that will take you to the next level in terms of overclocking, good looks and sheer performance, you owe it to yourself to find an Ultra-X from EnzoTech.  We were very impressed and I know you won't be disappointed.
