OCZ is primarily known for its memory, but they've also expanded into the cooling market too. A little while ago we took a look at the OCZ Vendetta CPU cooler (Reviewed Here), and overall we were very impressed with it, today we are going to take a look at another cooling from the OCZ family, the Vanquisher.
The Vanquisher is a low-rpm cooling solution, which is geared towards the silent PC. Let's see if it can live up to its name and Vanquish all the other coolers on the market.
First Impressions:
As soon as I removed this cooler from the box, I immediately noticed the extreme looking fan, also I noticed the nice fan grill, which should easily keep stray cables out of the fan. Once again this cooler looks somewhat similar to others on the market with the heatpipe and tower of fins, but overall this one seems to be very well build and sturdy.
In the above pictures (Right) you will notice the base of the cooler is not super smooth like other coolers, this could affect cooling performance.
As you will see in the above pictures (Right) there isn't a whole lot of accessories included with this cooler, you've got your install guide and mounting hardware for AMD 754/939/AM2 sockets. The thermal paste is pre-applied on the cooler, and you are not provided with any extra thermal paste.
