Whisper Performance and Conclusion

The case didn't perform as well as my M998 in terms of cooling, but keep in mind that the M998 case has Noctua fans installed rather than the regular stock fans. They not only push more airflow but also are much more silent.

Speaking of silence, I was disappointed in this case, although I am used to the really quiet Noctua fans.  There are 4 stock fans in this case and is quite loud. It isn't as loud as an Xbox 360 but definitely noticeable.

The NZXT looks like a server chassis with no window, and some pretty loud fans, but it makes up for those flaws with some impressive specifications. Being very large it is easy to work in, but may not fit in the cubby hole in a desk very easily. A minimalistic outside makes it the perfect case for a computer that isn't looked at very much but my suggestion is to look elsewhere for a pretty case that would proudly be displayed for all to see.

  • 7 hard drive bays
  • Pop-up I/O panel
  • Silence padding
  • Minimalistic View
  • Toolless design

  • Louder than it claims
  • No window
  • Not very good for Cooling.

I'd like to thank NZXT for sending over this case for us to review.  If you have any questions or comments, please post them in the forum at the "Comments" link below.
