This is our second week of the Android App Pick of the Week and this week we have a useful non-gaming App that has caught our eye.  This is a photography App that is useful for anyone who likes to tweak up their pictures and make them look a little better or more interesting.  There are a ton of different kinds of Apps that fit this category but I have found one in particular that I thought was very cool.  Colour Touch Effects is my first choice, but I'll talk a bit about PicsIn (runner up) in a moment.  Both of these Apps are fun and can add some pretty sweet effects to pictures.  You can do a bit of photo editing with both of these, but they are meant to add special effects and design to your photos.

The Color Touch Effects App is neat and easy to use.  When you download the App and open it you can pick a picture from your gallery, Facebook or even take a picture using your camera if you want to work with something "fresh".  Of course when you choose to use pics from Facebook, you will be asked if you accept the permissions to allow access.  Once you select your picture to tweak, you can then start adding affects and different color trends and patterns to the picture.  You can even make it black and white, and add different amounts of blur, sepia, neon and whatever else they have that makes your picture more interesting!  If desired, you can even add custom text to the image.

Below is a picture that i had done with some auto contrast and zoom that gives the blur effect.

Runner Up: PicsIn

Normally, we will only feature one App per week, but PicsIn photo app is too interesting (and similar) to leave out.  Just as with Color Effects Pro, you can put different effects on a picture. 

Once opened, it takes you to the main menu that gives you a few more choices to select from that can be used to decorate pictures.  It also installs PicsIn Camera as well to take pictures and add effects to the picture as they both go hand in hand.  The PicsIn App has more things to tweak your pictures with such as stickers, borders, fancy text, and you can even make a collage.  They both can be shared to networks and sent to your friends.  PicsIn has more stuff you can do than Color Touch Effects, but the overall effect doesn't look as professional or polished.  PicsIn is a bit like scrap-booking when compared to Color Touch Effects which is more of a photo editing app.  Both are great apps and if you're into Photoshop, scrap-booking or just want to make your pictures more interesting, these apps may interest you!!
