CPU Action

There might not be a lot of new CPU technology on the market today, but both AMD and Intel have been tweaking their technology and today, the AMD Llano A8-3870K APU is making headlines over at TechwareLabs as well as HiTechLegion.  This is a 4 Core, 3.0GHz CPU that offers some pretty decent CPU and GPU performance.

HardwareHeaven has the Intel Core i7-3930K and i7-3820 and puts these two chips up against the AMD FX-8150, Intel Core i7-2700K and i7-990X.  In the end, it's pretty impressive to see how much processor power there is these days.

Looking first to the I7-3930K we have a 3.2GHz 6-core CPU with HyperThreading. This is a 32nm CPU which includes an integrated quad channel memory controller (1600MHz officially supported) and cache levels are set at 32KB L1 Data/Instruction, 256KB of L2 and a shared 12MB of L3 cache.
