Welcome back Android fans!  Summer is here!  This is a great time of the year to go on road trips - hopefully you don’t get caught speeding... which brings us to my most favorite series of games to play - Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit.  If you're a racer I'm sure you have played most or all of them and probably remember the first Need for Speed Hot Pursuit.  I have played many NFS games in my racing days and probably own at least half of the series.  This is my first time playing Hot Pursuit on a phone.  It’s interesting that EA has made a game that can play well on a phone.  I didn’t find it  too laggy on the Nexus S when I was racing, escaping or catching the escapees as you race throughout the state!

NFS Hot Pursuit has two career modes to play in.  You can either play as the cop catching the escape artist or be the escape artist racing and running away.  For the cop or racer the car is driving already.  To control the car, tap the left hand corner of the screen.  This will help you brake and slow down, but who has time to brake when you can swipe up on the right hand side of the screen for some NOS action!  You can gain points with drifts and other interesting moves on the track.

If you want to do some sort of fancy take down you can always hit the brake and tilt your phone to the right. Most importantly, show off your mad steering skills to win.  Tilt your phone left or right to steer your vehicle.  At the end of each mission you gain points to level up and sometimes can unlock a few accolades and unlock challenges, maps and cars for the game.
