Happy Labour Day weekend! If you had the weekend off, I hope you enjoyed it! BCCHardware seems to never rest, and while they are no slave drivers, we always bring you the latest news everyday. This includes Apps! This weeks App is geared towards bookworms and those with creative minds. I present - WattPad. This is a very interesting way to be creative with stories and find some interesting reads of your choice - anywhere - anytime. You can read in either online or offline mode so you won’t have to be bored if you're a book loving fan and don’t have access to a credit card to buy books. Books in Wattpad are free!! They also try and make it social and you can share, comment and discuss what you're reading about.
Wattpad is a great alternative for independant and public domain books. I'm not trying to take away from checking out Kindle, Kobo, Amazon or Audible. Those programs are great for the latest releases and offer a difference experience that is equally great. This app doesn't read you books like an audio book, nor does it read text like a Kindle. The trade-off? It's free. Books cost nothing to download. I don't read a ton, so for a casual reader like me, this app is pretty sweet.

Another interesting this is that if you like to write stories or wish to be a great novelist one day, you can submit your writing on the WattPad website by creating an account. On your phone you can choose from 100,000 novels or short stories, add them to your library and read later. There are many categories to choose from and this app works with Apple devices too! It even gives you some recommended books with a description of the book to read through so you know if it's something you might read. You can pause where you're reading and it saves your spot until next time. Navigation is a simple tap or swipe to change pages and you're on your way!
