Testing and Final Thoughts

Installation is simple; you just choose the right plug for the device you want to use. Put the Steelseries Flux In-Ear Pro in your ears and presto, you're all set. Yeah, it's that complicated.

Testing was pretty easy for these. I like to stream a lot of music on my phone so they fit right into my daily routine.

When used with my phone, I found the Steelseries Flux In-Ear Pro had great sound and functionality.  My home can get pretty noisy at times and the Comply ear bud style really blocked most of the background out.  These really offered a rich sound to music, movies, and phone calls. As a hands-free, on the go headset for my phone I found these were awesome.

I'm also a gamer, but I found the sound and mic was lacking when paired with my computer.  Games sounded ok, but I'm spoiled with a 7.1 surround headset and these buds didn’t touch it. Voice over the mic was hard to hear for some of my friends as well. I didn’t feel these really fit in the category as a gaming headset. On the go they would be fine, but the depth of sounds produced by some higher end games isn't present when these are used.

In conclusion, I found that the Steelseries Flux In-Ear Pro was a pretty good set of ear-buds for on the go.

There are 4 different styles of ear-buds to fit any ear. The two sets of connectors allow for use with pretty much any device.  With the carrying case they can be thrown about anywhere without becoming a tangled mess.

The sound was great on my phone while I listened to music, talked on the phone, or just streamed some YouTube.  On my computer, I found it lacking some of the sound quality if a gaming headset.

All in all, I'm happy to keep using these with my phone as they offer superior sound to my current ear-buds.  They weren't a hit on my computer, but they do a great job when you're on the go and want some tunes.

  • Stays organized and untangled when case is used
  • Has many different ear-bud options
  • Two different connector styles keep your options open for almost any device
  • Cable directors keep ear-buds in place
  • Didn’t stand up to games with a greater range of sound depth
  • Mic was quiet when used with the split 3.5mm jacks
