It’s hot, humid, and rainy – that’s right, it’s summer time! It is also Android App Pick of the week and we are still enjoying a bit of sun at times. If you like word games and you have some down time, or a rainy day, why not send out some friend requests and play a little Scrabble? This is a game published by EA that I had spotted on Facebook a little while ago. It’s quite similar to ‘Words with Friends’ but follows the rules of Scrabble. If you think you’ve got what it takes to beat your bookworm friends, give it a try!

As I previously mentioned, the app integrates Facebook so you will be able to play on either your phone or on your PC and it will save turns and words as you switch back and forth. Invite your friends and family, co-workers and neighbors. If you want more of a challenge, try playing against the computer. They will answer back faster than your friends might (Tigger). Double and triple your points by building big words and unique words that can wow your friends and even impress the “teacher”. The little bookworm at the bottom of your screen can help you see what you could of done to score more points and sometimes help you put a word together. Check it with the dictionary to see if it’s a real word. If you don’t like some letters in your tray, you can change them out for new ones – but it will cost you a turn.
