Good day! Some of you are hopefully enjoying warmth while some of us here around BCCHQ South are getting our first taste of winter. Whatever you’re doing, listening to podcasts is a great way to multitask. Sometimes the TV or radio can be quite boring. For those of you that tune in to BCCHardware’s Weekly Tech Update podcast, you can easily enjoy it on your Android device using Podcast Addict. This app lets you easily listen to your favorite podcasts, catch up on missed episodes or just listen to something new. You can enjoy, listen and support your favorite company and just nerd out with some great content.

This app is interesting and while I don’t listen to a lot of podcasts, our own Benjamin “Zeus” Heide - founder of BCCHardware suggested I check out Podcast Addict. At first, it seems a bit complicated to use, but once you use it and figure out how to subscribe, unsubscribe, download and stream episodes, it starts to make sense. You can set it up to automatically download new episodes or just notify you when there are new episodes. You can also make a playlist of your favorite episodes.

While the default settings are to download over WiFi only, you can override these – but you’ll want to be careful as some video podcasts are 1080p and they will eat up your data plan pretty quickly. There is also a widget to use on a home screen for even easier listening!
