Soundcast at CES 2017

Soundcast is debuting a new product in their VGX line at CES this year with the VG7. This new Bluetooth speaker is weather-resistant with High Definition Omni-Directional sound which comes in a durable exterior that is both shock absorbing with weatherproofing. This speaker comes with a carrying bar across the top and also has 2 EQ settings for optimal listening experiences, one for outdoors and one for indoors. Unlike most portable Bluetooth speakers, the VG7 has a fully functioning down-firing subwoofer with full range drivers.

Soundcast also brought along their VG1 which is quite impressive in its own right boasting superb audio quality while weighing in at about 1lb. The VG1 is also waterproof making this speaker ultra portable with rich sounds coming from 2 inch aluminum drivers with a rear-firing weighted bass radiator. The IPX67 waterproof rating makes this unit water submersible for up to 10 feet all the while giving full protection against dust which makes this kind of speaker great for college students, construction worker, pool workers and the like. While most Bluetooth speakers have a drained battery after about 8-10 hours, the VG1 allows for up to 15 hours of battery playback but could also be longer depending on playback usage.

Both use Auto Bluetooth pairing which enables the speakers to seamlessly connect and unite to play synced audio in a true wireless stereo configuration with a range of about 30 feet for Bluetooth connectivity.
