Introduction:

If I had to describe myself I'd say I'm a bit of a keyboard junkie. There are few things in life that are better than plugging in a brand new fresh keyboard. Now with that being said, reviewing keyboards is a bit of subjective endeavour since everyone is different. I'm pretty sure if I got 10 gamers into a room and had them pick the best gaming keyboard on the planet the results would probably be a list of 10 different devices and everyone calling each other offensive names.

Probably the biggest part of buying a new keyboard is picking a keyboard that feels good to you. Gaming keyboards lately have been going towards mechanical switches, however, not everyone likes the noise and feel of mechanical switches, and if you're one of them you are probably pretty excited to see a high-end gaming keyboard that has membrane switches, which is what the ROCCAT Skeltr features.

Of course a keyboard can feel great, but gamers want a few bells and whistles. The ROCCAT Skeltr gives you a ton of options in order to customize the look and feel of your keyboard, as we'll explore further in this review.
