About the SP Superior 256GB MicroSD:

A New Standard For App Responsiveness
With an advanced A2 rating, the Superior microSDXC UHS-I card is specifically designed for app enhancement. Minimum random read of 4,000 IOPS and random write of 2,000 IOPS equate to lightning-fast launches and smoother operation. This translates to an overall superior user experience on your Android-based smartphone, tablet, and other app-running mobile devices. It also saves internal storage space on your device.

4K Ultra HD Never Looked So Good
Life moves fast, so you need a card that can keep up with its speed. With UHS Speed Class 1 (U3) and UHS Video Speed Class 30 (V30), the Superior microSDXC UHS-I card allows you to capture uninterrupted 4K Ultra HD videos. And, since every second counts, read and write speeds up to 100 and 80 MB/s, respectively, ensure that you’re spending more time recording every bit of the action in stunning quality.

Enough Capacity For All Of Your Needs
Whether you're looking to store data on your digital camera, smartphone, drone, portable game console, tablet, or another device, the Superior microSDXC UHS-I card can fulfill all of your needs. With up to 256GB storage capacity, it can store up to 39,400 songs, 75,200 photos, or 12 hours of 4K Ultra HD video. That's a whole lot of data.

Get Out There, Worry Free
We know the best shots are usually not the easiest to obtain. That’s why we’ve engineered this card to be waterproof, shockproof, temperature-proof, and X-ray-proof. So you can get out there and capture those amazing shots without needing to worry. From blizzards in the mountains to scorching hot deserts and the rainiest rainforests, this card is as durable as you are adventurous.

Testing:

For the following tests, we compared the Silicon Power 256GB MicroSD to a SanDisk Ultra 128GB SDXC card as well as an ADATA 128GB U3 A2 MicroSD card. All of these cards sit in the same class in terms of speed and we used a good USB 3.1 Memory Card Reader to get the numbers.

Conclusion:

As you can see, the Silicon Power card holds its own against other entry-level-brand cards as well as high-end cards from brand name companies. When you combine 94MB/s read speeds, 64MB/s write speeds, a 5-year warranty and the price of this super affordable memory card, it's pretty hard to go wrong by making it your first choice when shopping for additional storage.

It's quick, affordable and appears to be quite reliable. Overall, it's an easy choice for anyone that wants some extra storage for their mobile hardware. It has fast enough read and write speeds to work well in a camera with the included adapter as well. Fan. Tas. Tic.

I'd like to thank Silicon Power for sending this memory card over for us to look at. It's a solid little unit that will definately make it's way into one of my personal devices.
