We're back and bringing you another piece of illumination from Fenix. This is the E12 V2.0 light that is all about your Every Day Carry. It uses a single "AA" battery and while it isn't as blinding as some of their other lights, the size and flexibility ensures that it is ready to go whenever and wherever. First Look:

The Fenix E12 V2.0 is a 160 lumen flashlight that carries a standard IP68 waterproof rating and while it doesn't boast an actual impact rating, the T6061 aluminum body will take a beating. In order to disippate heat and provide bright performance the lens is quite thin. This is likely why the light doesn't carry a full impact rating, but it certainly feels like it will stand up to some abuse - unless you smash the lens on a sharp or small object.

The E12 comes with everything you need and expect from a high-quality Fenix light. A warranty card, quick-start guide, small brochure, lanyard, AA battery an extra o-ring seal are included. Only once in my life have I needed to replace an o-ring on a light, but a replacement wasn't included with that other brand and wasn't available as a spare part. Fenix takes care of you - both with a high-quality light, and the included replacement o-ring.

E12 Bundle


I love the clip that Fenix has included on this light as the "S-Clip" allows it to be clipped in a pocket lens-down as well as reversed to clipped on a hat, shirt-pocket or anything thin. This gives extra flexbility for using hands-free. It's a simple design that we've seen on a few different lights and it's nice that it is included on this one as well.
