This is my card.   I love this card, but it runs too dang hot. You may be able to see the existing hsf is almost laughable. Nicao and I were trying to figure out if it was actually made out of metal, or some sort of plastic.  Disgraceful.

Before I modded this card, I tested it to see what kind of temps I was getting. I stuck the probe on the back of the card, right over the GPU.

Ouch! and that at default everything, running 3DMark 2001 one time. I can't imagine how hot this would get after a few hours of UT. Not a good thing.

There. Stripped down to the core and ready for some serious cooling!

My buddy Nicao, supplied the Dynatron HSF, which was a little tall for this project. I didn't want to block all of my PCI slots.  He's got a steady hand, so he's doing most of the cutting on this one.  Nice work Nicao!

After the chop, I sanded the fins with some 80 grit sandpaper to remove all of the feathering caused by the dremel. I don't really want to have pieces of copper falling out onto my mobo, nic, sound, etc.

Pic of the ramsinks. They were chopped from an old coolermaster hsf, probably rated for a Duron 800'ish. Should keep my ram cool.

She's starting to look like she's ready for some real action! Now all I have to do is wait for the glue to dry. Bummer.

I just got finished testing this card, and it now runs at 32.7C max. That is super sweet!
