Introduction:
We are taking a look at a few Saitek products that are geared toward the gamer. We've got a look at the new GM3200 Laser Mouse, the popular and colorful Eclipse II Keyboard and the very nice Cyborg Evo Wireless joystick. All of these products are currently available and today we're going to take a look and see if they are what you are looking for in terms of input peripherals for gaming.
About Saitek:
Founded in 1979, Saitek entered the gaming market in 1993 and since then has grown to become a major brand in gaming peripherals for the PC. All our products are designed by gamers for gamers, to help them get the best out of their favorite PC games.
Our 2004 range includes many exciting new products, as well as enhancements to our existing product range to improve their performance further. We’ve also refined our manuals and programming guides to make it even easier to install and customize Saitek controllers.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our products. All our controllers are produced in our wholly-owned factory to ensure that they perform to the highest standards today and for many years to come. Saitek PC Gaming – superb design; total control.
Every gamer needs a joystick, keyboard and mouse, and the mouse we have today claims the highest resolution of any laser mouse available. It comes in either blue or red, and Saitek mixed things up from the normal blue theme everyone has these days and fired over their red mouse. This should sit very nicely beside the Fatal1ty case we recently reviewed.
The mouse comes with a software CD that has Saitek's utility for tweaking and customizing your mouse buttons and sensitivity.
Specs & Features:
- 4 stage (800/1600/2400/3200) dpi gives on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment to match mouse speed to game environment

- Soft-touch mouse buttons and rubberized scroll wheel for total comfort and extreme performance
- Gold plated, full speed USB connector

Closer Look:
Below are some pictures that give you a better chance to take a look around the mouse. I'm grateful that Saitek has decided to use two side thumb buttons as opposed to Logitech's single side button on the G5 mouse.
We'll take a look at software installation and general use on the next page.
