CES Launch 2007
The Show:
CES runs from January 8-11 (Monday - Thursday) in Las Vegas in 2007. BCCHardware is fortunate enough to be able to attend this year. We have a lot going on, from scheduled meetings with company representatives, to attending keynote speeches from Bill Gates and more. This is the 40th year of CES and it promises to big a huge event that stretches down the Las Vegas Strip and invades the Belagio, Sands, Venetian, Las Vegas Convention Center, the Hilton and more. I am very fortunate to be able to attend the event with Ryan Ward and Jason Schneider who have been long time readers of the site and have taken on the role of Editor, Publisher and Hardware Analyst over the past few years.
What Is Up:
We will be staying at the 60 acre South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa during our stay. Fujitsu is pretty excited about the 42" Plasma TV that is in our room, but quite likely we won't be spending too much time watching TV. As long as they have free coffee, I'll be fine.
Our goal at CES is to get behind the scenes as much as we can and bring you coverage from vendors, manufacturers and other companies that you normally don't hear too much about, as well as show you want is coming down the pipe from companies that we have come to know and trust.
Without leaking too much information, I thought I'd give you the lowdown on a few visits we have lined up.
On Monday, we have a meeting with CoolIT Systems. We recently reviewed one of their brand-new products and they are unveiling even more goodies at CES. Other company visits that day include HillCrest Labs, MicroDisplay, Silex and more. Many of these companies may be unfamiliar to you, but they actually make many products that we use everyday.
Tuesday brings us to Crucial, Zalman, Ximeta, Razer, Cyberlink, Alphashield and more. It will be one of the best and busiest days we've got going on at the show. In total we have 19 appointments scheduled that day.
Wednesday takes us to AMD, Plextor, Seagate, Ultimate Game Chairs and more. This day is a little more laid back in terms of scheduled appointments and will let us take a look at other exhibitors and see what is new and hot.
Thursday is the last day of CES and we are keeping that day as open as possible so we can enjoy ourselves and take a little time to breath. That being said we still have appointments booked with Viewsonic and D-Link so that should be very interesting.
Make sure you check back often during CES for daily pics in the Gallery as well as coverage from each of us. There will be a lot of new content over the next week, and it will be good, fresh and exciting! Thanks for your support that lets us go take in the best Electronics show in North America! CES here we come!!!
