Aeneon XTune 2GB DDR3 - 1600 Mhz Memory - Final Conlusion
Aeneon XTune DDR3-1600 Mhz Memory - Final Thoughts:
It was really interested to be able to compare this DDR3-1600 Mhz kit of memory up against the Aeneon XTune DDR3-1333 Mhz memory kit that I took a look at a few months ago, as well as against a couple other brands of memory.
Overall I was very happy with the Aeneon XTune DDR3-1600 Mhz memory, and really found it to be some great memory. The performance was good, the stability was great, and it just worked like it was supposed to without any issues.
Overclocking was also very decent with this kit of memory, I was able to hit 1700 Mhz without any problems whatsoever, and was almost able to hit 1800 Mhz, however once I hit 1800 Mhz I started to get memory errors and was not able to run stable. This is only the second kit of DDR3 that we've been able to hit 1700 Mhz with, and I ran for quite a few hours under full load with no problems whatsoever.
I really have no complaints with this memory, even though it might not have finished at the top of the charts, in every test it was very close to the other memory that was at the top and the difference was very minimal. I also had very good luck with this memory while testing, and never experienced any oddities while testing whatsoever.
At the end of the day, this is yet another very nice kit of memory from Aeneon. The performance was very good, the stability was excellent, and the MSRP is very competitive. Thanks to those 3 key features, the Aeneon XTune DDR3-1600 Mhz kit of memory has earned out "Top Pick" award. If you're looking for some shiny new DDR3, you are really going to want to consider this kit of DDR3 from Aeneon.
Pros:
- Very Stable
- Good Overclocking
- Competitive MSRP
- Good Performance
Cons:
- None
