Introduction:

For those computer gamers out there that have been in the gaming scene for a few years, fUnc is probably a name that you're familiar with.  They were one of the earlier companies to start making great mouse pads optimized for the gamer.  We've looked at a few of their products in the past and today are looking at a couple of their latest 14"x11" creations.  We've got the large C-Series cloth pad on our bench as well as the super-thin large U-Series pad.  Both of these pads cost under $20 and are quite affordable for a gaming mouse pad.  We're going to take a look at both of them today and share our thoughts on them and pick a favorite.

 
C-Series Cloth Pad

C-Series First Impressions:

The C-Series pad comes rolled up in a close tube and is a little thicker than a SteelSeries QcK pad.  While it is thicker, it still is quite thin when compared to many hard pads like the RatPadz or Everglide Giganta.  The 14"x11" size should be more than adequate for most people, and best of all fUnc shipped me this pad with the nice and smooth F10.s-like finish.  I like the feel and glide that a smoother pad offers.  If you've still got a ball mouse, the rougher surface might offer more traction to your mouse - but then again, if you've still got a ball mouse - you really need to spend the $20 on a new optical or laser mouse.

C-Series Print & Texture

Grippy Bottom

The top of the pad offers a very comfortable experience on both your mouse movement as well as your hard and arm that may come in contact with this pad.  It stay securely in place thanks to the soft rubber bottom that grips very well to almost any surface.  The result is a slick pad that stays put.

This is not your typical cloth pad!  It is printed with the latest state of the art Dye-Sublimation process, where the dye sinks into the cloth, instead of hardening on top, thereby creating an unbelievably smooth surface, and excellent mousing traction.
