Introduction:
BlueAnt doesn’t have the brand recognition here in North America that other companies such as Jabra and Plantronics, but their products offer great features, a very nice price and good quality. Today we are looking at the second hands-free car kit from BlueAnt that doesn’t have quite as many fancy features as the SuperTooth 3 that we looked at last time, but it has everything you really need in a hands-free kit. It allows full hands-free capabilities, good battery life and multi-point connectivity. To find out if this product will fit your needs and your lifestyle, let’s keep on reading.
First Look:
The S1 comes in a very nice clamshell package that can be opened without cutting your finger. Thankfully it can be resealed as well if required. Overall, it has a very nice, albeit light, bundle. It comes with a charger and a single plastic clip to connect it to your sun-visor. In a simple kit like this, you don’t need a whole bunch of extras and BlueAnt has provided only what you need.

Closer Look:
The S1 is a very basic hands-free kit. It has a power on button, a power off button, as well as volume up and down controls. It is as simple as that. To enter pairing mode you simply hold the power on button when you first power on the S1. This will allow you to connect a single device at a time. In order to connect more devices, the process is the same. The power off button has a nice LED light indicator that shows when a call is active. Also, a blue LED light located next to the speaker flashes as data is transferred to and from the headset.
On the next page we’ll take a closer look at the features and specifications of the unit before we connect a few products and test it out.
