Arctic K381 Multi-Function Keyboard |
Testing and Final Thoughts |
Testing:
Well, I am writing this review with the Arctic K381 keyboard and i must say that it is quite comfortable. Being as low profile as it is, the heels of my hands rest on my desk surface and I feel I could type for hours without discomfort. The keys have a well defined pressure point that feels sharp and clear which also makes the keyboard very quiet.
After doing some research on this keyboard I noticed on some pages that it was referred to as a working/gaming keyboard. So right away I wanted to see how the K381 performs in my favorite online shooters. So how does it perform? Well...It does'nt. The keyboard has no anti-ghosting whatsoever. You cannot press more than two keys at a time without that dreaded beeping sound.
Conclusion:
The Arctic K381 is a bare bones keyboard. There are not a lot of features at all to speak of as it is just a standard keyboard. The K381 retails for $24.99. So what do you get for that price? Well, you get a comfortable keyboard that you could use all day with no discomfort. If you are on a tight budget or you are like me and have a cluttered desktop this keyboard could be for you. I'm gonna go ahead and score this keyboard a 7/10. If the keyboard cost any more than $25 it wouldn't be worth it at all. You do get what you pay for. In the future I hope to see Arctic-Cooling making some higher end gaming keyboards.
Pros:
- Inexpensive
- Slim and Quiet
- Comfortable
- Plug and play USB
- 6 foot cable
Cons:
- A little flimsy
- Not recommended for gaming
