Challenger Pro Features:
For a keyboard, the Challenger Pro is long on features. They include a red illumination backlight that has multiple brightness settings, 2x USB2.0 ports, as well as a software user interface for assigning macros and changing brightness and logo illumination. There are 10 macro keys as well as a full set of multimedia keys. These can be programed and functions stored in the keyboard in its on-board memory. You can assign different profiles and access them though a button on the keyboard that lets you cycle through different profiles. To top it all off, there is a small fan that cools your "gaming" hand as well as Windows "Dummy" keys and the 8 additional buttons we'll show below. All of this information is available on the box as well as on the product page here.
Specifications:
As far as actual specifications go, there really isn't a lot of information to go on here. Thermaltake has included the specifications on their site, but they are lean - it is a keyboard after all.
The fan appears to be very quiet on this unit and even at a tiny rated 2.7cfm, it does provide hand cooling to your gaming hand. It can be mounted on either side of the keyboard - depending on whether you're a "WASD" gamer or a "Number Pad" gamer. I'm a WASD guy so I put it on the left side.
On the last page we'll take a look at the software and then cover some "testing" (aka gaming) on this handy red unit.
