Microsoft Eyes Leap into TV (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20101129/tc_nm/us_media_summit_microsoft) 2:21
Several expenses associated with starting to deploy TV is getting gear into the hands of the consumer.  Micorsoft is eyeing up he opportunities this has to offer and will use the Xbox as their set top box.  It’s already in many homes.  This could be good competition for cable companies and bridges the gap between Netflix, Hulu and Cable.

Netflix Has a Good Year & Raises Prices to Prove It (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101122/ap_on_hi_te/us_netflix_price_increases) 9:31
Normally if you’re company has a good year you try and make your platform more appealing by dropping prices.  Netflix has started making a bigger push to streaming-only service offerings and has dropped the US price for this plan as well as raised their price if you actually want a DVD to show up at your door.  This sucks for those without adequate broadband, but that number is shrinking.

Acer’s Iconic Keyboard (http://www.engadget.com/2010/11/28/switched-on-acers-iconic-keyboard/) 13:07
This keyboard is more icons that “iconic” in terms of, well, icons.  Acer has devoted themselves to a touch-screen keyboard that will use icons instead of physical keys that require movement.  This laptop looks pretty sweet for sure, but there are a lot of obstacles to overcome yet.  Still, it’s nice to see a company looking forward to a world without keys.

Worst Tablet Ever? (http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/reviews/2010/11/worst-gadget-ever-ars-reviews-a-99-android-tablet.ars) 25:00
Just because something is cheap, certainly doesn’t mean it’s a good deal.  Case in point: Maylong M-150 Android Tablet.  This is a horrible piece of hardware that looks nice on the web, but in theory falls very, very flat.  Your $99 would be best spent on lottery tickets in my opinion.

On a side note, BestBuy has some ideas as to what you can do with this tablet (http://bbyopen.com/2010/11/maylong-android-tablet-more-versatile-than-you-think) to make it more useful and usable.

Tablets You Can Actually Buy for the Holidays (http://www.gearlog.com/2010/11/tablets_you_can_actually_buy_f.php) 32:54
With all this Tablet talk, you may be wondering if you can buy your favorite piece of hardware for the holidays, GearLog has posted up a few of the good choices for you to pick from.  There are others – (eg. Maylong), but my money is on the Archos 7 Home or something else a little more expensive that is actually worth spending money on.

A Year of Tech Turkeys (http://news.cnet.com/2300-1001_3-10005691.html?tag=mncol) 40:00
2010 wasn’t all that great in some respects.  While it did give us a few good pieces of technology, there were a few things that flopped – both in hardware and general ideas.  Take a look and see if your favorite fubar is in the list.
