"Certain guy with a small computer repair shop" are you guys talking about me again? $3500.00 for data recovery tools would be money well wasted, people in this area just won't pay more than $50 to get theie files back. I guess doing that 70 times would get me back to even, but that would likely take 5 years or so. I would much rather sell flash drives to the masses and leave the onis on them.

Happy Easter!

It's not his birthday, he has no birthday! This warfare architect fell from the loins of a Yak on the side of a volcano back in the times where there were no calendars!! Even the word birth is a little too nice I think its more like 'Spawn'

So Happy Spawn Day!!........punk!

I'm sure that I can speak for myself and BB when I say we will be there, the last one was pretty decent except for the dance right above us!! This time we will be upstairs so that won't be happening again!

Thanks Missile, I agree completely! I was very suprised how many DC team members were unable to show up. I knew ahead of time that I could not attend, so maybe we should have a place like on the new website to post whether we can be there or not....just as a heads up!

Sorry guys.

Missile....there's nothing to appologize for, last night was pretty obvious that it was just a practice. I think I have even done that before after a match to team BCC....no harm no foul. I think we all have to remember that this entire concept was put forth under the notion of 'Fun' and even though we have 'All' paid our $5.00 I think the buzz word for the day should be 'Tolerance'. I thought that the few off the cuff remarks in our teamspeak channel were in line with a practice night, and I agree with Missile that if it gets to a point that is untolerable for one person then they should jump into the lobby. I just don't want to kill this experiance with too many rules!

BCC vs DC Desert Combat / Re: BCC vs. DC Gets Hosted?
« on: December 17, 2004, 07:53:39 AM »
Just thought I might clear up some understanding of ping here, the speed in which the internet data is measured is 'ms' Milliseconds. There are 1000 milliseconds in one second, so a ping of 200 is 2/10 of a second. Human reaction time in the best case senario is usually about 250ms which is 1/4 of a second, some of the fastest goalies in the NHL have a 200ms reaction time. Sure a 200ms ping is not as nice to play with as a 50ms but it certainly is not 2 seconds 2000ms!

Merry Christmas!!

I think this is a great idea, I got my TS number directly from Missileman as he had 20 original spots for players and on Monday night had to increase it by one more....21! I think $5-$10 to try out a server per player per month is extreamly nominal, sure some players might think this is unreasonable and not want to pay....which is good as it clears the spot for a more serious player. So far only five members have played all twelve maps, my feelings are that if people are paying to play they will make sure to be there each week!

I'm in!

OK!......Listen up soldiers, the teams are picked! We still have to call two more guys to get them signed up but this shouldn't be a big deal as one will go on each team. So here's the line up: Team [DC]-> is BinRockin,BinDrinkin,Nicao,Trog,Anti-Air,BoneRak,Goliath and either LittleHimmlier or Bich Bang and team \|/BCC\|/ is Zeus,MissileMan,Fujitsu,Codeblue,Howdyduty,Theseven,MaraudingDemon and either LittleHimmlier or Bich Bang. The team speak server will be Missile's at 142.179.240.244 pw: desertcombat. and the playing server is VulClan DC .7 which of course we will upgrade to DC Final today before we play. So make sure you have the new DC Final installed and an authentic key to play because anybody that can't get on the server will be left behind!

Ok boys......GAME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok everybody we are back up and running, Nicao has installed Linux and DC on a server we built and its running coop for now so people can jump in and practice. The name of the server is VulClan's DC .7 witch I'm sure will switch from time to time with .8 final. We also have a TeamSpeak server running thanks to Missileman, this will probably be switched over to the main server later but for now its working great the IP is 142.179.240.244.

So jump in and giver!!!!!

BCC vs DC Desert Combat / Desert Combat teams
« on: October 16, 2004, 08:17:10 AM »
Well boys winter is right around the corner, I think it's supposed to snow today or tomorrow. I know when it's -40c I like to stay inside and do some major killin, so here's what I have been proposing this last week. We start up two teams DC vs BCC this way we will always have an opponent to frag, Nicao and I will get the servers up and running here shortly (DC and TS). The idea of two local teams keeps everything local and fun instead of having to join OGL and being forced to practice and even play on days that are not convienient. So post here if you are interested and any other ideas you might have as well, I'm sure we can get at least two teams of eight or ten and play twice a week.

I believe we have interest already from Bin Rockin,Bin Drinkin,Missileman,Trog,Himmlier,Nicao,Zeus,Howdy,Frisk,Muddog,Foolio!!!

So come and join!
