New Server

Just wondering if anyone else is having troubles connection to the new server?  Last night I couldn't connect (TDM-Berlin) and I tried again today and still couldn't connect (TDM-Berlin).  Just wondering if its on my connection or something to do with the setup of the server.

well Nicao got me the admin access for remote manager, and the server just wasn't started back up when the maps were originally changed!
Its set to coop for now!

ya I still can't see it, and I have even tried a new search for BCC vs DC Clan and nothing came up.  talk to Fujitsu and he said he can't see it, nor connect to it as well.

The server IP is 209.59.140.245.  I just checked and it was stopped again.  I'm talking to NGServers to see what's up.

Im with Fujitsu, i havent smacked somebody around for awhile..... Im going to reinstall bf today as the last time i opted out of this punk buster deal and the server didnt let me on and i cant find it on  the disks to just install it...

Have they given us any ideas on why the server keeps stopping though? Even today it stopped again and needed to be restarted

It seems to choke on a map DC_DesertShield.  Someone keeps putting it in the rotation and keeps crashing the server.  DC_DesertSheild has some trouble with bot AI under Linux.  Our original server ran under Windows, and had no AI issues.  BF1942 for Linux has been ported over by bf1942.lightcubed.com independently, without active support from EA.  Things will get better eventually, but if there is a glitch with bot AI the map can crash . . . at least that's my understanding from lightcubed.

DesertShield will work fine in Conquest mode, but not in COOP.  Please keep that in mind.  Also Brian himself is looking into other server tweaks for us.  Please send an email to me if the server crashes so I can relay the info.  If I don't know it's down, I can't ask for help.

well it was probably me putting it into the rotation, since no one had mentioned not to. Guess we will see if that solves the problem, cause Its getting old having the server crash almost daily and having to restart it, Although on fun night I thought it crashed while we were playing kursk, but I could be wrong

If/when it crashes again, send me an email with the map, gametype, players, and time of day.  I'll pull the log file and see what's up.  If I can't figure out what's up, I'll drop a line to NGServers.  Last fun night the datacenter was having issues, and they should be fixed now.  I'll try to check in and see what's going on.

well after spending a couple hrs playing today i don't think i remember it crashing at all! mind you i switched the maps to conquest cause i was gettin tired of playing against bots! so we had up to about 7 guys playing for a few hrs there and it was running pretty good!
